Would you upgrade?

So have a dilemma here guys, really want to upgrade tanks but the dilemma is we are going to be moving in a year and a half to two years. Would it be worth it to upgrade? I have 55 and hate the dimensions upgrade would be cheap have all equipment needed since I bought larger than needed.

Hmmm. That is a puzzler. I am in a similar situation, we are looking for a house, but I keep doubting whether or not I can move my 75 gallon into this mystery house. I keep thinking I should prepare for a downgrade, which would also not be hard for me as I have all the equipment and even a couple small tanks to choose from. But I also do not want to tear up my tank right now.

What I keep thinking is important is to see how things turn out first.
It is possible you won’t necessarily have the space for an upgrade, or maybe not enough power to space where you would want to set it up.
Just thinking out loud. But also from a very similar situation. :)

I hear that! But when we move I plan on setting something in the range of a 220-280. So there better be room! Haha I feel like the logical thing to do is just wait.

If you’re going that big, I personally would wait. I wouldn’t want to move a tank that size after it was set up, but that is just my opinion.

I was thinking a 125 for the time being at my currently house and use that for a sump for the next tank but think I’m just going to wait.

Then I would take the time to plan out all the little things that have bothered you before. :)
You can even keep an eye out for the equipment you need when it’s on sale, or potentially secondhand. A 125G sump shouldn’t be too hard in the used market.
