If there is a male Isosceles in a tank with a juvenile Jordani, will the Jordani eventually change? Or will there need to be a dominant male Jordani?

Still waiting for my juvie melanurus to change. Had it for about a year and it's still in juvie scheme, although the colors are showing up a bit more now as it has grown. I got it very small/young though.
