Hey Guys,

I am trying to figure out the best wrasse for my 40g tank. The tank is not setup yet so I am just trying to get an idea of what to add for when it is ready.

I want to put a wrasse in there because of their personality. Do you have any suggestions for a colorful reef safe wrasse I could put into the tank?

Cryptic and opossum wrasse are my favorites they are both super peaceful I have both that live together in my 29 gallon biocube no issues they actually swim & pod hunt together. They have all the positives of a six line without the aggressive Jerk factor.

Most flashers are fine. Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse, McCosker's
Remember a top/cover is a must with wrasse or they will jump out.
Also most prefer some sand to burrow under.

I really have nothing more to add besides saying the only ones I would recommend for a 40 have already been mentioned :)
