After lurking for the past year and a half, I figured it's time to connect with the community by sharing my tank and experiences.

A little bit of background information:

I officially entered the reef keeping hobby a little over a year ago after my brother gifted me his 56g FOWLR tank with hob equipment. From there things quickly progressed into a full-blown 40g breeder build which ran for about a year until I was forced to tear it down due to moving into an apartment about a month ago. My current setup is what happens when you downsize from a 40g to a 20g without downsizing the equipment...

The details:

Equipment:
- Petco 20g long
- Reefbreeder's Photon V2 24"
- Gyre XF330
- Aquamaxx HOB 1.5
- Eheim Jager w/ Inkbird
- Tunze osmolator ATO

Livestock:
- sixline wrasse (the inspiration behind my username)
- black ocellaris clownfish
- bangaii cardinal
- cleaner shrimp

- BC lemon hammer acropora
- yellow tip austera
- green slimer
- BC secale
- red monti cap
- JF jack-o-lantern lepto
- duncan (my first coral)
- a couple frogspawns
- bi-colored hammer
- candy canes
- assorted zoanthids

Hopefully this thread helps others in some way, whether it be providing actual useful information or serving as a guide on what not to do...

Pictures to come later this afternoon.

The tank as it sits. I need to mess around with my galaxy's camera (s8) to figure out the best settings.

Currently working on dialing in my dosing. I was running half strength kalkwasser (1 tsp/gal) in my 40g and didn't account for the decreased evaporation in my new 20g.

I had to bump the kalkwasser to full strength and dose 2 ml of BRS 2-part on top to keep up with consumption.

I decided to delay starting Acropower until I get my dosing super dialed it. My latest purchase should help with that.

Hoping to get it setup and dialed in before my vacation in a week...
