I purchased a Lubbocks Wrasse about two weeks ago. It has stayed in a very tight spot in the back corner of the tank this entire time. I have a Six-lined Wrasse as well who wasn't happy when I added the Lubbocks. He chased him and nipped at him. What to do?

six line wrasse i hear are like tangs once you add another of the same species, they don't get alont especially the orignal fish. i say you'd have to take one of them out, catch them because one will kill another either by starvation or killing him

Many wrasses are social with other wrasses, but sixlines are not. They can be very aggressive towards other fish, not just wrasses, but are way worse towards wrasses.

If you want other wrasses the sixline needs to be removed. An inverted bottle trap works well.

Personally I'd get rid of the six line wrasse and keep the other guy because he's not as common as a six line and his colors are amazing

Yup.

The behavior you're seeing is because of the sixline's aggression. The lubbocki won't survive like this.

I'll be honest, they both are very nasty. Lubbocks can be even nastier then six line's.
My Lubbocks is a model citizen. I've had two over the years and neither of mine were aggressive at all.
