I'm setting up a frag tank and would like to keep a 6 line wrasse. The tank is barebottom, so I was wondering if a 6line needs sand to bury in, and how y'all have provided that in a bare bottom tank. Thanks!

Sixlines don't bury, so no need for sand.

For species that need sand, a small tupperware container usually suffices.

Thank you! Though, I've read they make a mucous cocoon in the live rock. I don't intend to have any rock...

Small cuts of PVC pipe make nice sleep spots for them, and larger joints make good "caves". At least in my QT tank they do, I'm not sure how comfy that would be long term.

Maybe I could "decorate" a PVC elbow with putty and sand to make it look more natural... Some shells, lol.
