Wrasses Vloriks and melanurus together

So I have a Vloriks and a friend needs to tear down his tank. Can a Melanrus male get along with my male Vloriks?

I would call that one questionable.. very similar fish.. maybe @evolved can chime in..

Ya I know its close, I have quite a few wrasse. Also I should note i have a 300 gallon tank! So its a big one :P

I wouldn't as they are very closely related but in a tank that size, it might work. Interested to see what evolved and eatbreakfast think.

I mean I know with all wrasse technically its always playing with fire (water :P) but - some people say they all tend to get along of that species. Also in a big enough space sometimes stuff works out. So figured to ask!

In a 300g it can work, but would advise against in anything less than 125g.

They're very closely related - sister species if you will.
Odds are not good; I wouldn't even try.
