Wrasses??

Is it possible to keep 2 Red Lined Wrasse and 2 Melanurus Wrasse in a 120? @4FordFamily @evolved

I would doubt that would go well long term especially as they grow. You could probably get away with one of each especially added small and together.

I wouldn't try 4 Halichoeres in a 75. Multiples of the same species probably won't work long term either.

I agree one of each may work.

Lots of other wrasses to look at, however.

The smaller Halichoeres, chrysus, leucoxanthus, leucurus, argus, timorensis, iridis, claudia, richmondi, to name a few.

Oooh I always forget about claudia because they aren't available around here often. I had one years ago and it was a great fish. Very peaceful. Bad picture but fair representation of the species.

H. biocellatus is also small and peaceful. Get a female, the transition from female to male is dramatic and very interesting.

Thinking about a Red Lined, Melanurus, Radiant and Canary. But the Christmas is very appealing as well. To many choices of beautiful wrasses.

I once tried to add H. claudia to an established H. biocellatus and it went bad, very bad. Sample size of just one, but thought I'd share.

Whatever I do add they will all be added at the same time.

I hope it works out for you, probably it will. In my case adding them together probably would have been even worse for my poor little biocellatus!
