Hey everyone. So I’m new to reefing (started 05/18) and I have a question about my favia. I got it back in August from WWC. I am honestly not positive what a healthy example of this coral looks like (colors vary so much it’s hard to say what is normal and not) so I’m coming to you for help. The coral has grown since I got it and was “opening up” or so I thought. Now I’m thinking it might be unhappy. It has always had a Brownish color in the center of each polype, but that part is now looking swollen almost. Also a bit translucent. The green edges are still very colorful, so no color loss to be worried about, I’m just not sure about the center part.

The darker pic is one of it back in August, the other is it now. Thoughts?

It looks to be happy to me. The coral swelling is typical to a feeding response. LPS like to be fed.
