I loved the colors/growth pattern on this thing, so I picked one up in the live sale. Any tips for care? I heard they're fairly hardy, are they easier than Acropora?

I have one. Mine actually encrusted pretty well but it isn't a fast grower. They are hardy and don't seem overly picky about light or flow. Under lower light they pick up a bit of green.

Thank you. I've got a crappy T5 fixture, which I'm switching out for LEDs next week, so I think I should be fine. I just wasn't too sure where to place it.

I have a CB Thing very similar. Lighting doesn't matter although lower light gets a deeper green. Flow seems to be the biggest factor. Under low flow seems to have a more interesting growth. Mine is under high flow so branches are tighter and thicker.

I have mine lower mid of my 75g. About 14" from water line and 21 inches from my ATI 8x54w fixture. I have had it for about 5 months and have fragged it 3 times already. I have 2 MP40's at about 40% (1 on each side) and 1 mp10 at 60% (put it on the back glass after I took this photo). Below is a FTS from 12-7-16 and it is to the top left of my clam, also there is a frag on the front right on my frag rack.

I'll bump this since I have a frag. Still trying to decide on a permanent location for it. It's a really cool piece!

I had mine all the way to the side of the tank about mid level and it grew nicely.
Well, that should work for mine too then. I think it might have been closely tied to your colony at some point. ;)

I got mine as a 3/4" frag last year. Now it's the size of a baseball. It's in high flow so it grows a tight round shape. Make sure its anchored nicely bc it doesnt grow a base.

These a pic of it in my frag tank, I had to move it recently from my display bc I was having issues with my sps. Sorry for the blue pic. To the left of it is my TNT anacropora. Got that a few months ago as a 1/2" frag. It's doing well.
