Wwc sun god

I just picked up a super small sun god frag. It has lost a lot of it's color and the only one pics I can find are the stock wwc photos and one on Pinterest. Does anyone have a frag or colony they can snap a picture of so I can see what I have to look forward too. Also any tips on placement would be appreciated. Thanks.

I actually had a nice piece before it became the WWC Sun God hard to find at a reasonable price now :(

Yep I've had a coral or two that were just another coral until someone "named" it and suddenly it became 10x more expensive. I have a few very unique corals that I think are amazing but I don't have a big name to myself to have that kind of marketing power haha.

I actually didn't give much (less than $20) for this frag, unfortunately its more like a frag of a frag, about 5-8 polyps. I thought challenge accepted haha and if I can keep it alive and grow it out it's a steal.

The more I stare at Acropora online the more I see the same coral at different vendors for varying prices. Not cool bro.

Here is a Sun God I got at the LEAR frag swap in 2017.
Just starting to pull some good yellow at the tips, I also see green & blue with red polyp.

That's a nice looking frag! I attended lear for the first time this year. This was mine about 4-5 months ago right before I found my tank full of aefw.

This is it now

It's lost all of its color but it's still alive and not an aefw to be found so I have hope of a full recovery.

How did you like LEAR? I went as well and picked up some sweet pieces!

I dipped every week with bayer and melafix for the last 3 months while keeping the frags in a qt tank. It was a pain in the neck.

I thought LEAR was awesome, bought some cool pieces and stayed close to my budget. I also won tickets to macna so it was a banner day for me.

Also a lot more of the random maricultures I have collected are showing up in these vendors inventory as crazy over priced high end pieces.

I have a frag, mine's more yellow than the picture from reef pirates, which looks greener to me. Mine does get a a greenish purplish color around the encrusting base.
I have the impression that it's similar to the pink floyd, although my pink floyd frag is not happy at all right now, so I can't really compare them first hand. It's been a slow grower for me, I've had it a year plus, and it's just now sending growth nubs up everywhere - but, it's been through dinos, then aefw, and then black bugs, and I don't think anything would be able to grow through all that nonsense.

The frag I got coming came from pirates reef. I'll take a pic when I get it to compare.
