April 2017, building the stand:

Made the stand larger than the dimensions of the tank to make sure there would be plenty of room for equipment. Placed it in the middle of the house. It sits on a dense rubber mat.

I'm getting the sump, plumbing and generally getting things oriented under the tank. The sump is 40 gallons and was used. Skimmer is oversized and just fits. I had to seal one outlet of the sump, and plumbed the return pump on the outside of the sump. Return pump is a Vectra M1. Plenty of room for the dosed and dosing containers.
The tank was used also and used to be plumbed for closed loop system. I didn't want to do a closed loop so I sealed those also. Single overflow on the back bulkhead.

Getting things zipped up under the tank. You can see a valve right under the tank that leads to nowhere. That will lead to a manifold that's already made, but I've just been too lazy to install as I've yet to need anything running off a manifold. LOL.

Arranging pukani rock that was in a brute container for a month.

Some early shots of the rock work back in June of 2017. The wife and I went on a vaca to Portland Oregon during this time frame and I was worried about leaving the tank even though there were just a few snails and hermit crabs in the tank.

Some more first corals. Acros lived for a few weeks. After this I stopped with acro and and let the tank just be for awhile. I also started additions of GARF Grunge to help mature the tank. Immature Dry rock tanks are hard on acro. Also the first fish, a diamond goby. Big personality on him. Also added a couple Citron Gobies. They ended up going back to the lfs a few months down the road. They don't do well with acropora, so back to store for you!

October 4th, 2017. I started to add some easier sps corals to the tank. One the pics you will also see I added the apex par meter (PMK?). The rock the sensor sets in is manufactured. It's now covered with real coralline algae.
That pocilipora is nearly three times as big and will be going back to the lfs soon.
