Xr15 g4 pro or hydra 52hd

I know its not the normal comparison but I purchased a 50g cube that had a xr15 pro with it. I'm moving my 25 lagoon over that is currently lit with 2 prime hds. I'm very happy with the schedule I have and the results. I have never had radions until. Now I am wondering I'd I would be better off selling the xr15 and getting the 52hd used. Money wise I think it would be about the same.

My hesitation is will I have better results with the xr15?

Sorry I can't help much either...never used the Radion lights either. Bottom line in my opinion is either will likely work well for you.

Personally I’ve only owned kessils, I have 2 Radion xr15’s on the way. I just want to see what they are all about. I’d try the xr15 on the cube and see!

Get Ecotech if you plan on having other ecotech products down the line. Its kinda like cameras, you can choose canon, nikon, sony but you aren't locked it until you start buying multiple lenses.

I have a single XR15 over my 24 x 24 frag tank and I am having good growth and excellent colors with everything from zoas to acros. No experience with Hydras.

Bump to get this more attention. I'm curious what other people think since I'm in a similar boat with two Kessil a80s and maybe looking to upgrade in the next few months.

used both the hydras and radions. currently using the radions and have already sold my hydras. both will give good growth and colors.

Cant speak on the radions, but I do love my Hydras. Once you get everything hooked up I think the interface is pretty easy to use.

I think either is a good step up from the kessils. I run a Radion XR15 and the color pop is significant over s Kessil. The kessils just can’t produce as blue of a light.
