XR15 Gen 4 upgrade to Mobius

Hi All,

I have 3 XR15 Gen 4. I have always used reeflink to control them and had no issues.

Recently I notice that they were möbius compatible so I upgraded all of them. They all seem to work and I can control them with the Mobius App.

The problem is when the XR-15 are powered off they do not turn back on by themselves. It takes manual tinkering to power them back up. The problem happens with all 3 XR15.

Is this a known issue, and is there a way to downgrade to previous version?

Can you still use your Reef Link?

Reef link is in storage but been doing some testing. I don’t think it is Reeflink/ Mobius related, but more of a software issue with XR15 Gen4. I have read other forums posts about upgrading software and the Radions are not able to power up.

After some testing, this is how to power it up.

Problem: Power Brick light is on, but XR 15 light has no power.

Solution: The only way I could find to power them up ( All 3 XR15 behaves exactly the same) is to disconnect the power from the power brick to the light.

If you disconnect/recoonect from the outlet it won’t work.
If you press the power button on top of the light, it doesnt work.

Odd behavior, still works. I am worried about power outages and knowing the light won’t come back on.

Will call support tomorrow.

I know a lot of people that will only give up their Reef Links when they pry it from their cold, dead hands...

I believe you can roll back the software.
