Hey everyone after my red and uv melted the lenses on my ai prime i got kinda discouraged with AI....how does the red even melt and burn out at 7%? I've had the light for 2 years using it on my old tank. So I went crazy for lighting the nano. The light arrives tomorrow what % should I start out with using the RMS tank mount and diffuser? It's a mixed reef with sps up top and a who lotta lps throughout. Dimensions are 18" x 22" x 22".

I know it's overkill but when I go bigger I just have to buy a another and I'm all set.

The rms arm mount is junk. It’ll probably tilt forward (design flaw).

i dont think it’s too much overkill. I have an xr30 for my nuvo lagoon 25 and i think it’s perfect.

Only sps. I do use the diffuser since i dont need any extra par.
Just start low and try to match old intensity by eye, then slowly raise if you want.

It does sit forward just a little but not to much. I've seen a lot of complaints about it but my smaller tank still gets plenty of light towards the front, the spread on the g6 is crazy, shadows are a thing of the past. I've already order a light shade from fish of hex.
