After a long time in the hobby, one thing is for sure; I've taken every opportunity to "upgrade" tanks whenever possible! Up until last year, I had a 240 gallon tank. There was nothing wrong with it, but my wife and I wanted a peninsula style tank that we could walk around. Well, when our LFS put one of theirs on the market, we jumped on it!
The tricky part was the old 240 stood in the way of where the new tank was going to go. So, I had to drain the 240, move it out of the way, slide in the 220 and put everything back in. Yeah, that was fun, but over 10 years in the Navy taught me little tricks when it came to moving tanks!
Anyhow, almost a year later, all is well. This tank is awesome and it provides us with such enjoyment.
Looking forward to sharing it will all of you!
The old 240
Built the stand over a half wall instead of destroying it (happy wife)
