Just wondering who had them and if they were anything like the 6 line or if they were model citizens.. How bad are they on the pods and will they eat pest?

They are a timid fish, they feed on pods but not as aggressively as mandarins and they are said to eat red planaria flatworms but I have yet to see one eat FW's

Thanks Rob. I really like the fish and want one. I also want a mandarin, which I am waiting until pod population is pretty good. It is ok now but I want to make sure I have plenty.

I'd say regarding the mandarin, buy 2000 pods from reefs2go then wait a month and then get your mandarin. Your probably good now since your smaller tank is well established with the sump, but a boost of pods wouldn't hurt. That's how I did my mandarin, waited a year for the tank to establish seeded the tank a couple times with pods from reefs2go.com then got a mandarin, had it for around 6-8mos and it does fine as I can tell.

Thanks TJ I plan to add some more before getting the mandarin. Just hoping the yellow band doesn't consume too many.lol. How are the coral doing?

They are doing well, I haven't put them in their permanent spot yet, didn't have any super glue, but they are open and doing fine, thanks
