My yellow coris wrasse is on sand bed for days! First day introduced to tank he dove under the sand.

The second day he was out of the sand for part of the day.

But the third day he didn't come out, and hasn't for more than a week. Maybe a week and a half already.

How long have you had a wrasse, under the sand bed?

I have had wrasse's stay under the sand bed for a week but a week and a half may be stretching it... Really hard to say if he could be alive or not..

I swear my yellow coris stayed under the sand bed for weeks. So long that I almost went and bought another one.. then, boom one day he was swimming around. I don't know if he was just coming out when I wasn't around or what but it was weeks before I saw him.

sometimes i forget i have a yellow coris wrasse. my work schedule keeps me from seeing my tank throughout the day for most of the week. I get used to coming home to just my blennies, clown, and chromis swimming about, and when i do get to see him its always a surprise.
Ive had my coris for almost 2 years now, and hes gone through 3 tank upgrades. After each reintroduction ive noticed its not unusual to not see him for a week.

Mine was gone 2 weeks before it came out

Good to know, I see many people have same experiences on other forums online too. Some even had experience
for 2-3 weeks.

I'm guessing the fish is either adjusting to landscape or something. Probably travelling under the sand?

Still waiting for him to come out.
