Our lemon drop mushroom is not doing so good. We got it from the big reef2reef/wwc sale a little while back. I recently moved him down to a lower section of the tank. But still is not extending and showing some guts. Should I try to move him again? Or just see it he acclimates? We got the purple haze mushroom upper right the same time and it is doing amazing.

Not looking good for the little guy, it may have some sort of infection. Have you tried dipping it? Perhaps an iodine dip would help. #reefsquad any thoughts?

I moved him down this morning. I'm going to see how he does. This is a response I've been noticing. It might be normal. But his yellow flesh tends to get puffy? Normal? And will deflate, and then put back up. I haven't been able to get the best pic of it. He is a small guy. And he is not as washed out as the pic shows. Bad camera. .... maybe to much light as well as placement??

Give it a bit of time. If it was a chem warfare thing , it like us eating somthing bad. The immune system needs to get that stuff out.
As far as Light , hard to say, but judging by the ricordia there. Light “shouldn’t” be the issue.

As far as dips go , iodine’s and revive etc, are just cleaners and disinfectants. So much like ourselves , iodine or antibiotics won’t do much to help food poisoning.
So I’d give it a bit of time before action.

Lugols is the General go to. Mainly it’s most wel known. Revive is a similar cleaner.

Just an update. It is still looking puffy and not extending.... I moved it into a more shared part of the tank.

We just did a water change 2 days ago. I haven't retested since then. before the change eveything was within normal. And I've only done one feeding since then. We tried a new mysis jumbo shrip. And some coral food. I'll retest after work today.

Still not doing well, I did a water change, according to my water test kit eveything n is good. I brought him up to a different spot in my rubble net. Maybe it will help.
