Does anyone see any reason not to have a golden/yellow hawk fish with a flame hawk fish? The other concern, aside from my blood shrimp and cleaner shrimp and emerald crabs... Would they bother my tiny anthias?

I haven't kept any hawkfish in my life but can give u info from a friend that had experience with them. In his opinion they both are more peaceful than other hawkfish and can be buddies in a aquarium large enough for both of em. Every fish has a different personality but most likely Shrimp added before would be fine. How small are the "tiny" Anthias? They should be fine if they are bigger than the hawkfish mouth

The hawkfish will be compatible in a 75g+ tank.

As long as the anthias are big enough to not be eaten, they will be fine.

My flame hawk fish isn't aggressive, for what it's worth. Had a pair of long nose hawks, that was a different story! Sadly the pair isn't around any more.

The ventralis anthias are maybe 1.5 inches. Any idea if a flame and yellow could ever produce viable offspring?

It is unlikely they aren't that closely related.

X2 and I also agree you'll likely be alright, particularly if food is not short. The flame are almost all docile.

My flame hawk has always been a great community member. I have blood shrimp.
