Why do my Tropic marine salt mix turn yellow? It happened to me before and I found out that my wave maker’s cord was exposed and the electrical current caused the water to turn yellow. I thought the same thing happened so I changed to a different brute trash can and mix the salt with new equipment but it still come out a bit yellow. Is it safe to use for my fish quarantine tank? The 1st batch is the one with float valve. The 2nd batch doesn’t have float valve. Both used different equipments but still yellow. Btw this is not a new bucket. I used maybe 1/4 of it already without this issue until today

How old is the salt?

Does it look okay in the bucket?

Does it have a date-code on it?
