Hey, anyone with some info on how a YWG acts when recently added to tank?

No I do not, I read that it wasn’t needed

They like to hide a lot until the get comfortable

They can completely disappear for a few weeks. In the first few hours they may hang out in a top corner until they settle down.

Ours done exactly how eatbreakfast discribed, hung at the top corner for a few hours after being introduced to the tank, we actually thought something was wrong. It took a few days to find him hiding in the rocks. He hid in the rocks for about a month, it now makes appearances at feeding time but still leary about coming totally out of his cave.

Hey, anyone with some info on how a YWG acts when recently added to tank?

Mine freaked out for a while. The shrimp hid in the rocks and the fish chased his reflection for quite some time. Eventually it settled down and the two lived happily ever after.

I just came back from getting a Tiger pistol shrimp

Mine behaved odd at first as well. Hanging out on top of rock work or swimming around aimlessly was pretty common until I added his best friend ever, a pistol shrimp;)

Just added the pistol shrimp!! There’re not together yet but the PS is burrowing hear the YWG

I had my YWG/Pistol disappear multiple times, always assumed they were dead. Then randomly they would pop back up.

Its definitely a reclusive fish. The YWG and Pistol have their network of caves under the rocks and just do their thing.

Have had them for probably about 5 years now.
