I have a 150W HQI, double ended bulb that needs replacing...
Does anyone have a favorite brand?
I have read good things about Phoenix 14,000.
And then trying to decide between 14K and 20K.
Thanks in advance
Chas

phoenix 14k, radium 20k, and EVC 20k are all nice bulbs. i'm not sure if EVC has a 150w bulb, but i would imagine that they do.

I've got the radium 20K and I was really happy with the look. Really crisp white/blue color. I haven't tried the pheonix, but I've had them before with a 250w DE fixture and they are equally as nice.

I am still deciding between the radium and phoenix. From what I've read those are the best..

I haven't messed around with lighting too much, but I heard with radium it depends on your ballast. Some will give you more white and some will give you more blue.

From the thread, it seems like the radium is more blue. But in person, I think the phoenix is more blue.
