I purchased a YWG locally on Saturday and added him to my 20L. I'm just getting it up and running and added my first 3 fish at once so I didn't quarantine. The YWG shares the tank with a Court Jester Goby and they are around the same size. Both like the same hole so I was prepared for some settling in drama. The cleaner shrimp was on the YWG from the get-go, and yesterday I noticed there was a split in the YWG's upper fin (spiny dorsal?) I assume was from the other goby.

This morning there is a white area that may be damaged tissue or possibly illness? Any help appreciated. I have a 10 gallon so I can isolate him if I need to but I don’t want to stress him out by moving him again if it’s not necessary. Tried to get pics.

That could be an injury, tough to say though. What is the third fish that you added? You should probably prepare the 10 gallon tank, but don’t move the goby over to it unless you see additional trauma.

And fin seems much better, looks like it is healing quickly.

Yeah - that looks like a minor abrasion, doubt if it needs treatment, just watch it.
