Zechirian's 90 to 120 move

Hey all!

New here, but I've really enjoyed reading these forums! Everyone seems extremely friendly and the amount of info shared here is beyond anything I've come across.

With that here is my recent 90 to 120 move.

Here is the old acrylic 90:


Now the build for the 120:

The stand built by my step dad, I think he built it to hold 500g hahah






The first try at seeing how things fit


We soon realized that the stand was built way too strong as 2x4's and 2x10's are everywhere in it so there was little to no room for a sump.

The next plan was to take over my office closet.






I wanted to hard plumb everything but found it to be a bit out of my range and felt putting in some braided vinyl tubing would be better.

Just prior to placing the new plumbing down we took down the existing 90:




Magic!


Then came the new stand


Aaaand lights! Ocean Revive T247's


Ahhhh now this felt good as the setup had been in my garage for more than a month!

This is the sump, 40g breeder Petco $1 per gal special. Skimmer is a bubble magus curve 7, return pump is a Jebao Dc12000.

Freshly aquascaped(the heater was only in there to heat as I was filling)

The current stocking list is as follows:
2x Snowflake clown (from old tank)
1x Midas blenny (from old tank)
1x Starry blenny
1x Flame Angel
1x Carpenter wrasse (from old tank)
1x Hector's goby
1x Black spot foxface (from old tank)
1x Tomini tang (from old tank)
1x Tenneti Tang
1x Purple Tang

Current Equipment:
2x Jebao RW-8
1x Jebao DC12000 (return)
1x Ebo Jager 150w heater
1x Titanium 200w heater
2x Ocean Revive T247
1x Corallife Turbtwist 18w UV
1x Neptune Apex (in the mail as I write this), PH, Temp, Feeder, Leak detection.
1x Bubble Magus Curve 7 (was a PITA in the previous sump, in this new one it's really working well)
1x 7" filter sock (curious on how often you guys swap these out, i'm use to 2x 4" socks on a 2 week rotation)
2x Maxi1200 to stir up the return and sump chambers

The tank move took place over a long weekend, I used almost every drop from the previous system, started over with brand new sand and carried over almost all of the rock of my previous system as well. So as expected I've seen no spike in ammonia and everyone seems to be settling in nicely.

Wow stunning upgrade. Everything looks like it turned out nicely. You are one lucky man to be able to cut thru a wall and have all that sump area. Following along.

Update time! Things have been going along very smoothly. I've seen my birdsnest lose it's green color but have a feeling that might be to the lighting and very very low nitrate, going to try and turn that around. it's been taking off in growth the last month or so.

The clowns have taken to hosting in the frogspawn


Need some ID help on this one, I think it might be a type of porite but not sure. Got it as a throw in from a local reefer.
