I did for a little while on my past 360g. It paid off as you can see in pics But I was not consistent with program and switched to triton method.

My question would be regarding skimming. Not a ton of great options for my tank. Would anyone recommend zeovit with weekly WCs or am I asking for trouble.

It's all about your tank bio load if you don't have high bio load then no need for skimmer since zeovit is very effective of reducing nutrients sometime too good.

Do you deviate from the zeovit method? I always thought it was about having low nutrients and supplementing what’s needed but you run really high nutrients.
Yeah I run higher nutrients to be safe. U can run ulns but I feel like it's very tough to keep the balance of enough or starving. The hardcore zeovit will be very pastel and ulns but you could wake up with all white colony.

If I crave the pastel look I can dose zeospur2 and the Coral will become pastel without going ulns.

Hmm interesting ! So you are suggesting a bacterial driven system without an export mechanism .
Funny that most people always think that skimmer has only 1 job - export of nutrients and the vital function of oxygenating your tank with mixing of air is often overlooked .
Nice zeovit tank BTW !!!

Regards,
Abhishek

To be fair I have seen OP post about skimmers mentioning BOTH of those benefits.

I take it you’re in disagreement and believe a skimmer is necessary?

Ycnibrc, I would defiantly say your tanks strayed from a true zeo tank but it’s awesome none the less. Don’t you only dose two zeo products or do you use more?

I would love to see anyone’s tanks that are doing the true zeo method and running a uln system with the pastel look. Ignore the comment about it being ugly, there are people here who can appreciate the work that goes into these tanks and the look as well.

Sometime the bacteria do such a good job of reducing nutrients in my tank, it drop close to zero. So I just use the skimmer to make bubble but not skimming for week until the nutrients rise up again then I activated skimmer again.
