Is this the only reason why they extend? I have a zoa garden on the bottom of my tank and I have 11 different zoas and 1 of them are super extended. But none of the others are extended.
Stretched stalks does not always mean you don't have enough light. There are some zoas that have long stalks.

My tank is even slightly younger than yours, but I've already introduced a few zoas. Some of them are thriving, and others are completely closed up. They are all within a couple inches of each other. I think some zoas are just moody. I'm hoping they eventually snap out of it.

The spiders web sounds like a vermetid snail. The unwanted gentleman that cam off in your dip looks like bristle worm. Actually considered by many to be good clean up crew. If you have one, you have more.
