Hi all
Just a quick question.
I had a single zoa that separated and wanted to attached him back, I got a little too much glue on there and was trying to remove it, whilst I was doing this, it squirted fluid.
The fluid did not touch me. I placed the zoa back in the water.
Could the fluid be airborne now? And could that cause any issues?
It happened around 30 mins ago and I feel fine in myself

I wouldn’t worry about it. Not all zoas produce palytoxin. Mostly the palythoas. And the horror stories you hear are usually the result of vaporizing it via boiling rocks. You would know pretty quickly if you had inhaled any.

Thanks you for you reply, puts mind at ease especially for the family who will be sitting in that room if it was airborne ☺️

Most zoas have very little palytoxin.

I've frag'ed for a CORAL Shop for yeeeeears as their main Frag'er

I handle most zoas with their slime and just keep my fingers away from my mouth and eyes.

Definitely wash my hands thoroughly after I'm done. I might rub rubbing alcohol on hands if my hands are slimey

It's PALYs you gotta really be careful with If you have cuts on your fingers

I've never heard of palytoxin jumping into the air and being a hazard unless you are boiling them off a LR
