Does the base of these zoanthids look okay?

They look compressed and can be due to too much water flow or irritated by athecate sponge growth at base. To remove that lace like sponge, take plug out of tank into a container of tank water and scrape off with a paring knife

Maybe y'all are seeing something I'm not, but that just looks like a chunk of rock to me, with some gunk on it and the polyps growing from it.
