I did a water Change and went from omega salt to Red Sea salt. Hoping the Red Sea makes a difference. Could it be a lighting issue? Not all zoas are mushrooming. Only two or three groups while others look awsome
This was a buddies tank. He did water change and now they are coming back. He's also been doing multiple changes since. Idk I'm still new just speaking as of what I've seen.
I agree with RubenG. To much light. Have you recently changed lights? New bulbs? Some zoas light more light than others. Take the ones that are inverting(mushrooming) and place them low in the tank until they start opening normal again. Once they look fine start to move them up a couple inches everyday to acclimate them to your light until you reach your desired location. Hope this helps!
I'm running radion LEDs at 55%. 120 gal tank. And the zoas are on lower levels. Zoas mid and up seem to be unaffected. So I'm going to do som water changes and lower light and see if any improvements. It is weird cause I can notice new growth then that would mushroom out as well.
