I have some zoas (fairly ordinary non-interesting variety) that are really thriving in my tank and spreading to areas I don't want them. I can't remove the rock they are on but I want to control them. Do I just do a typical hydroid/aiptasia treatment? Kalk paste in a big syring?

I get a good sharp knife and scrape them off the rocks. But I also glue the clippings to frag plugs. The trick is to try and scrape off just a tiny layer of rock to not pop the buttons where they will release palytoxin into the water.
