No shrimps. Sad. Byropsis is dead. Hair algae not so much. Cyano bacteria everywhere. Going to finish 14 days do water change then hit the tank with the rest of the reef rx. Hopefully that kills the hair algae.

Got my old girl back from paint.

I love those Preludes. 94?

Bonus points if the stripped interior is for weight reduction.

If you want next level, we need to cut the springs.

Urchin and ATS knocked out my green varieties of algae problems.

I tried that flux stuff, helped in the interim, came back eventually..... also that's probably contributing to the cyano.

Mexican turbo was the only thing that got rid of the red algae I had.

Car looks good!

I was expecting it. Oh well.
I really like their clearfx stuff, used it in my old big tank. Esp with it being mixed reef and leathers wanting to throw shade.

Just be very careful if you ever try the phos remover - so many people have had horrible losses misusing it or using it for too long, etc. Also expect cyano with that one :face-with-tears-of-joy:

So I am doing a water change today even though we are not at the 14 day mark because the decaying algae and cyano is out of control. There is a cleaner shrimp molt stuck to the power head. So they are still alive? I don't know. I haven't seen the shrimp since I put them in there. I guess one is alive somewhere. I'll redose today after using hydrogen peroxide on all the surviving hair algae. I wish I could h2o2 the urchin because he is carrying around a ton of hair algae however it might not be the best thing to do. So a toothbrush and vigorous scrubbing.

Double post but someone mentioned to me the pencil urchin is the reason my corals were dying and that I should get rid of him. I've had him for ages and never noticed any coral eating however it would explain why I have never been successful. So I might send him somewhere and get a pincushion.
