I was wondering what your guys experience is with Watanabei Angelfish?
Do they do well once established?
I know alot of fish are but is cyanide used for capture?

I have read they are deep water fish. Should I be concerned with temperature my tank is at 78 degrees?

I am entertaining the idea of a pair in my 135g

They are great fish. They are not known to be collected with cyanide. They can have swim bladder problems if not raised from the deep slow enough - these usually are known early in captivity so if you get one that has been around for a few weeks, they are usually OK. They are easy to get to eat and and are not mean fish.

I've got 4 in my 200 and agree with this. They're also susceptible to viral infections during QT in my experience. Once acclimated, they're super hardy.

I know this thread is over a month old, but I wanted to throw in my two cents. We got a pair (m/f) for our 240 gallon tank shipped to us (which always makes me really nervous). The experience was nearly flawless. The fish arrived in great shape, very healthy and acclimated better than any fish in our tank ever did. Both of them were already fighting for food with the others immediately and everyone gets along great. If only all acclamations would go that smoothly.
