I am still working on the program :) It`s programed with the I pad and It takes me a while to do that kind of stuff .It took me three days to get my apex to work:). I have their 132watt light on the tank so It should be great once I get this light working .One cord and no timers ! hopefully I will get it working tonight and test tomorrow .

Thanks for asking . How are your clowns doing ?

Clowns are great. One of the nerite snails died. The other two are happy. Here's the algae I have. It's green when he blue lights are off and it's getting worse. Why????

So, my RO water measured 0.04ppm of phosphates. I think I have found my problem.

Try a different store . Mine Is at 0.00 where It should be . It`s not bad but this could be the problem . You mix salt with the same water ? if so then that could be the cause . You are using a Hanna Checker right ?how often are you feeding your fish . For now only once a day .and change the old phosban

The phosban has only been in there a few weeks. Does it exhaust itself that quickly?

Yes this is bad. The problem is you don't really know what that 7 ppm is. ou need your water to read 000 on a tds meter even 001 is bad.

Thanks. I just got my first TDS monitor. I change about a gallon or two weekly. I'm wondering if a small RODI unit is my best bet.

yes, it is. Believe me the ability to make and ensure your own pure water is priceless.

Can you recommend a good one? It doesn't have to be heavy duty or super fast because I'm not making much water.

Update. I still have the gha and am working to solve the problem. My RO water from the LFS had 0.04ppm phosphates and 7-10ppm TDS. So I may get a little RODI unit. Also, I'm looking into getting a phosban reactor to keep it under control long term. Two Little Fishies has one that would work with my nano. Corals continue to do poorly. I may lose them and if I do, I'm not getting anymore until the nitrates and phosphates are under control. I just don't get it. I never tested for phosphates until last year and I never had a bad algae problem. I had healthy corals at 10ppm nitrates.
