Interesting. I just did some looking around and there various ION probes out there. Some super crazy expensive for Labs.
Seems that PO4 measurement isn't possible with a ION probe. Or as you say not not possible since not accurate enough (for the levels we want in Reef tanks)

GHL tested some probe options, but the sensitivity at reef tank levels versus the cost and probe life didn't line up. GHL hasn't ruled it out as an option later, but they won't release a product they aren't satisfied with releasing.

@Vinny@GHLUSA this looks awesome. Can’t you point me in the direction to get my reefer kitted our with GHL?
https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/ You can select the Global or USA store as needed from there for the purchase. For what to buy... what do you want to control and/or monitor?

Hello, please tell me how often it will be necessary to change the ion-sensor , or for how long does it work?
We will release this bit of info once we get closer to the launch date.

I'm a current NS Apex user and have been looking at the GHL line since NS showed the sneak peak of the Trident a couple years back. From reading the various threads and product pages, to monitor and control only Alk, Cal, and Mag with GHL products, I have two options:

Option 1 (Slave)
1x ProfiLux4(e)
1x HKD
1x Doser 2.1 (3 head)
1x IOND
1x Doser 2.1 (4 head)
1x Doser 2.1 (3 head)

Option 2 (Stand alone)
1x HKD
1x Doser 2.1 (3 head)
1x IOND
1x Doser 2.1 (4 head)
1x Doser 2.1 (3 head)

Since I'm not a GHL user (yet), can someone confirm that I have this correct please?

it is better to take the one with 4 heads. in case you break a head, or want to dose something automatically.

I've switched 1 tank over to GHL - a second will be switched over as soon as my next shipment comes in - and the other 2 will be moved over as parts are ordered / received.

Really looking forward to the ION - hardest decision will be which tank deserves it the most. I'm gonna guess the pricepoint will keep me from rolling this to multiple tanks right away.:)

You can do either option.
The only change I would recommend is to look at the KHD Slave set for Option 1 or KHD Standalone set for Option 2. Those kits will get you a 4 pump doser, instead of the 3, but at a better price point.

Thanks Vinny. I saw that once I started putting things into a spread sheet.

Anyone else notice that if you search for ION Director, r2r gives no search results like it doesn’t exist?
