Hi all!

I’m not new to the salt water work but am back in the game after about 10 years. I have a 20 gallon tank I want to continue planting with macroalgaes but am looking for some lighting recommendations that won’t break the bank.

I currently have an aqueon 20gal high tank and the standard hood it came with and only plan to do the macroalgaes (all colors) and soft corals (so far I have just ricordea mushrooms and a small toadstool leather I rescued from Petco LOL)… would using their “beauty max” light be sufficient for this size tank and the algae/softies? Or if not is there something that you can recommend? I’ve had some people recommend AI primes but I’m not looking to drop $300 on a light at the moment as this tank was an emergency upgrade since my 7.5gallon cube sprung a leak and had to be replaced.

Tank is 16” deep… is there a light around $100 that would grow well and suffice that I could snag from Amazon? No saltwater LFS’ except Petco and they only offer the aqueon beauty max LEDs and I don’t think that’s enough for the macroalgaes and softies?
