I got a couple new corals for my afac group from Mitch reef. Brand new to sps but these are some of the newer ones..btw, my desalwii needs some time before it gets to the previous one..

I got it from mitchreef as part of a package of all 4. Can't say how much I paid, but he hooked me up big time.

Rare for me and I haven't seen the desalwii, borealis and valida in too many tanks, but I'm new to sps so what do I know. I could have many more rare corals if I had $400 to blow on rare LPS

Wasn't raggin on you or anything..just wondering cuz I've seen a bunch of those in peoples tanks and don't consider them that rare..but I guess this thread is thread about the rarest coral in your tank so if those are the rarest that you own then my bad..

How long have you had them? Do you spot feed?

Those are dendronepthia. Very cool corals but they don't do well in captivity due to a need for a constant food source which would pollute most of our tanks......


Lets see, this tank was taken down, geez, three years ago........yes they are nophotosynthetic, I bought them as Carnation as a very stupid inexperience reefer who didn't know better. I was fortunate enough to keep them healthy for about 6 months, but at the expense of yes a very dirty tank. They were beautiful but a major pain in the ****. They were attached to a giant oyster that would constantly move and the colony would fall at least every other day.
