My little town is at the center of a serious investigation right now. Wow.

Quick version. An inmate escaped with the help of a recently released dude in Boise. Both stole a car and drove north, murdered 2 people, one in my town and another about 20mins away. Then drove to Missoula MT, then back down near Boise to be arrested. It's all over the news if you Google it.

There are some serious crazies 'round here.

The escape was 6hrs away, story is one knew the area, possibly grew up here. Knew one of the people they targeted, haven't found out if they knew the other guy yet.

They had to drive past my place to get to where they were going.

I'm mostly irritated that no one warned the community up here that they had contacts here and that's where they were likely heading. They warned the police dept, but didn't make it public. I know the prosecutor's secretary and she had pulled her kid from school because of it, so I know she had advanced warning, but it wasn't public info.
