Melanurus or Hoeven's wrasse who has em?

I have one too. I've never witnessed him going after my CUC, but I do see them dwindling. Peppermint shrimps don't last long in my tank. Not sure if he's the culprit or another fish is.

He's one of my most colorful fish, but is very shy, he hides a lot and is not always out int he open

Beautiful fish for sure. I live mine. Mine change from a dabbed juv-female to a beautiful fish.

Mine is still transitioning from juvie to adult and currently has the female color scheme. It's dorsal fin spot is almost completely gone now:

Is there a difference between those collected in Fiji and Melanesia

One of the most underrated fish in the hobby. A hardy addition, and yes they pose a risk to the clean up crew long-term, particularly as they grow. I've always found that they're worth replacing the CUC once per year or so

How often do you have to feed them??
