Not really. The LFS I bought it from uses Kessel tuna blue 360's and I use AP700's with B+ T5. His schedule was 10 hours with ramp up to 100% ocean #4 setting mine is 8 hours ramp up to 45% with T5s on for 4 hours. I don't know what his par was at but mine was around 250 where I had the coral placed.Any significant difference in lighting from original location to this setup?
ThanksSorry about the loss, but your display looks gorgeous. I can't wait to watch you fill it in.
Sorry. Forget to replay to post. I did add my results. Thanks View attachment triton.pdfResults in yet? Very interested to hear if any issues were discovered..
Was also noticeing that your nitrates were running 2-5 ppm? A slight level (<1.0) is usually acceptable unless running a ultra low nutrient system but 2-5 is a pretty big swing and could cause some problems.

I give it another month or two and try again. I remember watching you tube videos with Mike Paletta and Sanjay Joshi they both started tanks with all dead rock and sand. They couldn't get sps to thrive in those tanks after a year. There theory was it would take 18 months to 2 years for the biodiversity gain a good enough hold to have a stable environment for sps."If you don't first succeed, try try again."
I don't see anything alarming either. I think as long as there aren't any crazy swings, 4 is no problem for your nitrates.
I'd give it another whirl with something hardy, maybe from another source than the last. Not saying you got a bad stick but you never know.
