Tonight's FTS. The green macro algae turned white and melted. It was a maintenance issue anyway. Had to keep mowing the lawn...

That wrasse is nice looking. I'm gonna have to try again on a carpenter/flasher in my 25.

Also, I think that is a glass anemone. But I'm probably wrong. I usually am. Someone will step in soon to straighten it out.

I think that wrasse is a yellow fin flasher. I was looking for a carpenter or McCosker's. Just try and get a small one...

Gorilla crabs. I was fortunate that this guy was on a small rock I could pluck out and net around. I then saw 2 more. They are small, and this one lives UNDER a RFA...

He's giving me the "stink eye" ain't he?

Any trap suggestions? I have tried bottle traps and small glass jar traps (salt shaker) with different kinds of baits, even scallops did not work. I am not too worried about them right now, but I imagine when they get bigger...

I'd try krill in a soda bottle with the neck cut off and glued back in upside down.

This tentacle is about three inches long. I wonder how big this guy is...

I am considering adding a green clown goby. Any thoughts? There is zero aggression in the tank (except for the porcelain crabs sparring with each other). 25 gallon lagoon.

I have had this live rock since since the first week of October 2022, so I am pretty sure the limpets are reproducing. I took this as a really good sign of over all tank health. It is about 4 mm long.

I have been sweating it for three days. Either the pistol shrimp died, or he molted... I saw him scurry back under his rock today. They tend to hide for a while when they are still soft after a molt. Glad he is not dead!

Firefish jumped today while I was at work. Lasted 27 days. That is a little more than a dollar a day. I guess it was worth it. Probably won't get another one.

Have you considered getting a finer mesh for your lid? I had the same one and wasnt happy with how wide the spacing was. Replaced it with very fine screening from home depot for $6.

I thought about it, but my lights are not very strong. So far so good with the new firefish. The other two fish are too big to get through.

Picked up some new macro algae at the LFS today. I think it is dragon's breath. we will see if it takes! Center of the tank.

Dragon's breath fail... It went totally white within 2 days. I yanked it before it dissolved. At least it was cheap.
