Have they made good progress with these hybrid fixtures? I see one at a lfs that isn't all that great as far as popping out the colors on the corals. I think they run a Phoenix 14k bulb. I love the concept and would really like to test one out sometime.

Like I said earlier, the fixture would not place very well in a beauty pageant. The idea of combining moguls with LED's in a pendant fixture is what turned me on and the fact that ReefBrite is a great company is a added plus. I'll be running 250 watt Radiums at first and may jump to 400's down the road.

Today I purchased the ADJ PC-1000A. This power strip will make life a little more efficient, organized and give my wires a all around cleaner look. I plan to build a framed box that the power strip will sit in with the wires going up through the box and hidden from view. My days of unplugging and plugging in are gone!.....YES!!!

Thank goodness the light is here!!! The ReefBrite Halide Hybrid 3'. The concept is great! Design is definitely unique and LED's are definitely bright!! Here are a couple pics I took to give you an idea of what Im working with. I'll be hanging it this weekend.

A little coconut action there to give you a size comparison.

I made a wooden box to hold the DJ switch and painted it to match the wall. I made it to hide wires going up inside.
