Our lowest lownhas been battling to keep clams alive. I had no issues with my prior tanks, but this tank just cannot maintain clams. we thought the first 2 were murdered by snails and removed them. Turns out they were not the culprit...the twonwe got to replace the others also died. Maybe we'll try again later. Definitely don't be discouraged if part of the hobby doesn't go your way
