It's Christmas time again and we are excited to announce our annual Toys For Kids Drive!

It's that time of year for giving and our members at www.reef2reef.com love to give! If you are a seasoned veteran of REEF2REEF then you know we help unfortunate children get gifts, clothing and food at Christmas time. Every Christmas for the past 12 years we have had a toy donation drive and every year the members of R2R and the reefing community step up and give to make Christmas dreams come true! Last year alone we raised over $30,000 for toys, clothes, food & necessities for kids and their families all over the world!

Being a pastor of a local church in my community gives us the platform to not only see the need around us but to be able to do something about it! We are able to make sure that all families are in need and that the kids really wouldn't have much for Christmas otherwise. We are able to buy all the gifts with no taxes because we are a non-profit at the church. That saves us hundreds of dollars every year.

We are also very excited to announce this year that we are once again partnering with the GVM Orphanage, Smokey Mountain Children's Home, Grace Alive Church and The Awakening Church to help us disperse gifts, food, clothing and necessities to kids and families all over the world.

Based on my fuzzy math and a little Kentucky windage it appears that we are above the goal when the match is included. If we take advantage of all of the matching funds then we should be close to what was raised previously. Although I have a really nice abacus, I am not keeping the official numbers and all of this information will need to be verified.

Good question and one that I'm sure that many people have so thank you for asking! If you received the information from the GoFundMe site with a receipt then you should be entered. The next step is that once the drive ends then you will be sent your raffle ticket numbers.

From the communication at the beginning of this thread:

I'm so sorry for my lack of participation in this thread recently! I have been SLAMMED! We actually spent $15K of the money at Walmart on Friday! We also have sent $2k to one of our partners to buy for kids at the orphanage in Pakistan. We are buying a full Christmas Dinner for the home for children on Friday morning and delivering it with gifts! At least $10k will be sent to our partners at Grace Alive Church to meet the needs of the children in their area of Southern California. That is in the works now. And MUCH more to come!

GFM has been a headache as well but they told me today the other donations should be moved to the current campaign by today! Whew!

I cannot express my gratitude and thankfulness in a post here today! But it is great!

Like @ricksmithsdca mentioned, based on @revhtree's previous comments the donations in what I am referring to as Phase 1 of the GFM drive (aka before the crash) will all be included in the raffle. Good luck - more info should be sent out soon.

I know exactly what you mean! Every year the R2R Toys for Kids drive is one of the highlights of the Christmas season for me and every year the R2R community comes through for these kids in a big way!
