This may sound dumb for most experienced reefers but it created considerable more work, time and some added cost to me for not verifying that it was installed correctly.
The top gasket shows ridges while the bottom one is flat
The flat side goes to the glass otherwise expect leaks.
I assumed it was correct and ended up swapping two bulkheads, two unions, and the pipes.
Rookie mistake made by a seasoned reefer.

Nah it's not dumb. Dumb is not figuring out the problem.
Like I said, this was my first round with a real overflow. I MADE plenty of mistakes and gave everyone a laugh.... Like they'd know.

Sooo... My girls decided to buy their sweet old dad a very special Fathers Day gift this year. A new 150 from SC aquariums . OH BOY!!! It's Christmas in June. I'm tickled pink and I have a new project. :D

Today was the delivery day. I'm so excited.

Five thumbs up. Each time I had a tank delivered - they ask you to sign a sheet saying 'the product arrived in good condition'. So - each time - I've had the truck driver either wait (though both of them have helped unpack the crate - and actually helped me move the tank into the house!) - to make sure there were no problems. Otherwise - some companies refuse to let you return it - or charge you for re-shipping it. If the original driver takes it there is no cost

Wasn’t aware of all that. Makes me even more relaxed that I was able to catch it before the driver drove off.
I have to say that SCA was super on the replacement.
Would highly recommend them.
Customer service is everything

Ouch!
Sorry about the kitchen plumbing.

I just emptied the fresh water yesterday and the lights are up. Had a rail and made DIY mounts from my junk pile.
I’m satisfied with the results.

So sorry!
Sounds a job
But the good thing is he got the bad pipe out.
PVC rules!!!
It just busted while he was removing it. Dang pipe is that fragile. Finding the parts in this small town is a pain. Lowes doesn't have everything, and I have no sink. A new sink would probably be cheaper than a plumber.

I do... And taking my time about it. LOL
Have to clean up some rock next.
Offer stands about the pipe.
Good luck
I am thinking about replacing the garbage disposal as well. Maybe upgrade the sink. It's worn out porcelain. Husband's been busy with work, free time is sparse.
Probably a project for the weekend. We'll get it done :)
If live rock wasn't so expensive, I would have 50 more lbs of it. You should have a lot of nice options in your area. I'm a bit jealous LOL
