SCIENTIFIC NAME –Chaetodon auripes

COMMON NAME – Oriental Butterflyfish

SIZE – 7.8" (20 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE – 75 US Gal. (284 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING– The Oriental Butterflyfish consumes sea anemones, stony coral polyps, polychaete worm tentacles, filamentous algae, and invertebrate eggs. Can be offered a varied diet for carnivores, omnivores, & herbivores. Should be fed a minimum of 3 times per day.

REEF COMPATIBILITY – No.

CAPTIVE CARE –The Oriental Butterflyfish can tolerate lower temperatures and prefers an environment with plenty of swimming room.
