What is the best method for carbon dosing?

You mean the best chemical to add, or the method of adding it?

IMO, lots of them work well, but I choose to use vinegar dosed through the daylight hours using a dosing pump. :)

Dosing during daylight hours is because of the oxygen, right?

I use vinegar, keeps cyano and get 25L drum here for next to nothing

Yes, primarily O2 and also the pH lowering. :)

Same thng here. Used to dose with kalk through my ATO, but found this to be much more consistent and accurate

I dose Vodka, and do it with or without the lights on, doesn't affect the tank.
