We all have our favorite corals, or at least types of coral. For me, my favorites are the "jiggly" corals, like frogspawn, torch, and hammers. Tree-like soft corals (Sinularia, Nephthea, etc.) are also really cool to me. Though very popular now, I have never been a fan of chalices. I've owned 2, but was never attached to them. That's me. What are your faves and least favorites?

I love sps of any kind, and also have never been a huge fan of chalices. I like to see the pretty pics but never have any real interest in having them in my tank.

Love me some acros, especially milles!! Least favorite would have to be the octocorals that spread like weeds i.e. anthelia, gsp, xenia, etc.

I like SPS preferrably the hairy kind like milles. While I am not a fan of chalices I wouldn't say I dislike them. I think they are pretty little expensive cow pies with colored beads ;)

I would say I dislike GSP because I tried EVERYTHING except a blow torch to get them off a rock I have and they survive almost everything.

I can't really think of a coral that I don't like or find interesting, However, I am an SPS nut, I particularly like contrasting colors SPS's like Bonsai were the tips, body and polyps are a different colors.

I love nice Acans and Zoas. Most SPS does not do much for me. It interesting to see the different opinions.

Contrasting colored chalices and stag acros are my favorites. I think least favorite would be snake polyps.

My most favorite are my colorful sticks. So many different variations of colors and shapes. Growing them out from frags is really rewarding. As far as chalices, love em! But sticks take the prize.

Least favorite I would have to say (sorry softie lovers!!!!) are leather corals. They just look so bland sometimes. The really big colonies look like piles of skin.

This is really cool. I think I've learned 2 things so far:

1) People are very different in what they like coral-wise; and
2) We seem to have our favorites and stick pretty closely with them, doesn't seem to be a lot of mixing

We all have things that grab us. Keep it coming!

I've got a thing for LPS that move and especially hammers. I have a love-hate relationship with millepora. I've finally got one to start going well, but I've lost so many.
