Hey everyone I have about a 2-3 inch frag of an orange montipora. For about two months it has been thriving and growing. But in the last couple days it started to turn white. I have no clue what to do to save it. It is about 10-12 inches under a kessil a150 led. I would say it receives moderate to high flow. I will post water parameters later today. Here are some pics.

Please help! Thank you!

Have you had any KH swings. Montis are very sensitive to these types of swings and will bleach out. Check your levels. Usually, once they start bleaching like that, you have to cut away the dead parts and frag the living parts out.

All parameters need to be kept stable espially alk. Thats where a doser can make life so much easier keeping parameters steady. Be carefull when dosing for alk. and do not add too much at one time.

Ok thanks I'll check my levels when I get home. And I recently did calcium dosing, would that affect alk? And so what should I do?

Also check for Montipora eating Nudibranch's. Point a strong light on the underside of the Monti and look for little fuzzy looking things. If there, you will need to remove the coral and dip in Coral RX or other coral dip repeatedly. Can do a number on monti's. Don't ask me how I know.

I'd see if it was spreading before breaking it up. I fed oyster feast one time and got too much concentrated in a localized area on my monti, killed a couple spots on it but I jeft it alone and it healed over after a couple weeks and now you'd never know.
