For nearly twenty years, the Avast Porthole has had one simple job: to give reefkeepers a clear, top-down view of their aquariums. That original tube worked well. It helped hobbyists, coral farmers, and photographers cut through surface glare, water ripples, and awkward shooting angles. It was...

So i've been seeing some older forum posts that talk about using port holes, but i can't really seem to find anywhere that sells them. The Avast ones are all out of stock. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to go looking?
p.s, here's a pic i took the other week, just because.
Like new building an obsession camera tube. Used it once. Since I upgraded my phone I havent been using my mirrorless camera anymore. $70 shipped to conus.
Hey Everyone! Im new to reefing and to the Reef2reef forums! Im a cinematographer by trade so I love taking pictures and videos of my tank! What are some of the accessories that really have upped your photo game intensely?

Putting up for consideration my Avast Marine 7" pothole with a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens.
I've had both for i know 5+ years. Never used except when shooting corals a couple times a year if that.
The porthole is still in great shape. Although one of the 3 rusers is missing. These aren't...
Opened, but never used Orphek Reef Aquarium Lens kit to help you take great pics of your aquarium :) Sells new for about $27, I’m asking just $20 including all fees and shipped to the lower 48 for this one. Please let me know if you have any questions!
So today when I was cleaning my tank, I noticed something "different" inside my new maxima clam....
My new clam is mostly blue/teal and I noticed some yellows inside the intake siphon. I have a striped blenny and at first I panicked thinking my blenny barged his way inside...

Hey everyone! This november will mark my 1 year in the world of saltwater! I feel as though I have a good grasp of it all, and now I'm trying to meet more people in the hobby/learn how to navigate this website! (Super cool although overwhelming). Attached are some of my favorite photos of my...
Hello all! Been reefing for a super long time and always had nice tanks but no real way to take quality photos of them other than using my iPhone 13 Pro with an orange lens finally I decided to upgrade to a DSLR camera. I got a rebel T6 from Canon and realized it wasn’t just quite doing the job...
I have had the opportunity to dive the world. I am an underwater photographer and coral collector. I am a dive instructor. I am a pediatrician. I have a reef tank in my waiting area to allow children to experience a small captive ocean. Unfortunately, our children may not have the...
Hi all,
After thousands of research, I bought Sony Rx100VI. I'm very happy with the results.
My aim was to find the best point-and-shoot camera for my needs.
Here are a few shots I made and cropped from the entire photo. These are not taken with a macro lens.
I will keep this topic updated. It...

The Male Red Sea Eightline Flasher Wrasse is a remarkable fish with vibrant colors and dramatic fins. This wrasse will not bother corals or invertebrates, which makes them an excellent candidate for reef aquariums. A harem of one male to multiple females can be added to the aquarium...
This is just a random thought. My camera does pretty well under my T5s, when I can be bothered to fish it out if my closet :)
I'm making a few under-educated assumptions here..
It seems to me that a camera lens has always been able to capture light and reproduce it pretty faithfully on film or...
Just a couple sample shots, it's no macro lens, but the res of the A7r III helps a lot! I have an 85mm lens that I'm going to mess with some extension tubes and see what it can really do tomorrow, just figured I would share lol
If anybody has any minolta lens recommendations for the sony mount...

This app is helpful for photographing and blocking out blue light and creating custom filters.
It also give...
